A test done for the UK magazine Play Music. We dropped a Trace Elliot AH500-7 from a crane at a few different heights, this one was approx 40 foot. Videos show the fall and impact. After each time we tested the amp it it still worked OK.
Sorry about the picture and sound quality, this was done on a mobile phone. Although this was meant to be mostly a serious test, certain people can still be heard giggling like children.

  • yeah how about an uncut un edited video of the drop and then plug it in....

  • Sorry, you are right, we should have videoed the test after each drop as well. This was done and I can assure you the amp still worked. As this was for Play Music (UK magazine) it was all photographed but the videoing was just on someone's phone and was an afterthought to be honest.

It was done before the popularity of YouTube, so if we did it again we will video the whole thing next time.

  • i either heard a cry or a laugh i think i would cry if i saw a trace elliot head fall from the sky.....
