Hero's Quest 1 - Dragon's Breath

AKA Quest for Glory 1. One of the best adventure/rpg games ever! Released by Sierra Online in 1989, this is one of my favorite scenes where you try the infamous Dragon's Breath at the bar in Spielburg. This is my first attempt using Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 preview.

Awesome! This game rocks, one question, how did you record from it? I tryed screen capturing and even using a DVD recorder and I haven't been able to get it to work. If you can tell me that would be great!

I used the open source program DosBOX which has built-in .AVI exporting :) Do a Google search for it -

That is the best game I've ever played. I played that with my father when I was a child. Perfect :)

I wondered about that too. So I tested, using a DOSBox emulating the MT-32. But here's the thing - the EGA version (1.200) does not play any music AT ALL in the tavern. The VGA version, OTOH, plays this tune. Only it doesn't sound nearly as good as this. And I believe the MT-32 emulation is correct. This leads me to believe that it's a CD track. But from where? The Anthology or the Collection Series?

I love the Dragon's Breath scene, it's my most favorite scene because it reminds me of Mountain Dew, I don't know why but it just does.
