@foxhound0469 I agree that Anime is mostly made for money.. But that was just a small part of this parody.. Merchandising is just 1 of the several things that this parody touched...

I know that I might sound butt-hurt here.. But this here distorts what people who have preconceptions about anime even further.. Making them think that they know something, when they obviously don't.. That's the problem for me.. I wouldn't want to tell you how many people think that anime = Hentai and kid's shows.

@geenius3ab Honestly this parody made great commentary on one of the biggest flaws in anime, merchandising. Most anime is made purely for the purposes of selling a franchised product rather than telling a story.

They, for the most part, knew exactly what they were talking about. It was a parody that broke the usual otaku's perception of anime being this great and worthy medium of art, rather it is a way for companies to market and sell products and merchandise based on fanservice.

@Esupikus The litte pets aren't useless, the old perverts are a rarity, magical girls are a stereotype for CERTAIN types of animes. The ecchi in it isn't as much as ecchi, but hentai. Tentacle rape isn't too stereotypical, as the tentacle hentais only take up about 10% of the hentai amount.. Probably incest hentai is much more stereotypical..

Can't see too much comedy in this piece.. Can't really find it too funny..
