With all the chaos in Tripoli these days, it's easy to forget that Tripoli was once part of an Italian colony and hosted 14 Grand Prix races from 1925 to 1940. The circuit was 8.1 miles long and had some of the best facilities of its time. It was also the first circuit to use starting lights.
