Erika Guano had to drop out of school to help her family on their farm, working backbreaking hours, planting, cooking, and taking care of livestock. Erika was out of school for three years. Then, with the help of the Winari Project, she managed to complete the Accelerated Junior High Program. Once she left Winari, she kept studying and is now in her forth year of secondary school. She dreams of becoming a great lawyer, to defend her community and her people.
