First exercises for beginners in jumping the octave with the uilleann pipe. Learning to increase and decrease pressure to jump up and down; simple stepping up to lower 2nd octave notes; venting to jump into the higher 2nd octave. First tries using bag only for a few seconds each try. To conclude, an extended octave jump exercise playing continuously with bag and bellows.

  • do you think you can upload some videos playing a tune on one of your uilleann pipes??? I want to buy one.... It would be nice to hear one in action!!

  • @allendupras There's a new link on my commercial website of audio of a visiting Irish piper teaching a workshop, testing the C and D versions of my chanter with very aggressive and fast mixed tight and open style playing. There's also audio of 1 or 2 customers playing their sets, an there are several audio clips on my site of the drones. I appreciate your suggestion and I will probably pick a tune to present on practice and 1/2 sets of my make to put up here.
