I have to say, there's a point behind the critiques. You are a good singer, you don't need to try so hard to be "dramatic" visually. At the end of the day, it's still a single camera angle with a low-budget background, and very few people can "act" a music performance looking directly into a camera with nobody on the other side. It doesn't create "connection"; it destroys it because the camera makes people self-conscious. Try enlisting a good camera operator; I think it'll help.

I do what I can with a tripod. I just feel lifeless sitting in front of a camera singing. I have to move or have an audience. I think I handled my hand movement problem well with my Try video.
