  • did you use a go pro cam?

  • @minimotardking V.I.O. POV 1.0

  • Dude on snowmobile was a pretty cool customer. When he saw the slab break up in front of him, he maintained enough speed to float and move off the slab under control, but not so fast that he risked a severe bounce/jump that could cause a spill. Dumb getting caught, but good reaction.

  • @peakman2006 Very good insight, Thats exactly what i did!! As far as being dumb if you had spent the last 40 yrs riding in the mountains more than likely it could of happened to you.

  • @degoetz - Obviously I'm glad you survived, but respectfully disagree with your avalanche assessment. I've back-country skied for 30 years and would NEVER venture onto an obvious avalanche slope without assessing snow stability. Your video clearly shows the wind blowing snow over the ridge top loading this slope. The machine gives you instantaneous speed that a skier cannot command in an avalanche, but if this is all you are counting on for safety, you're safety margin will eventually run out.

  • @peakman2006 It always blows at the highest points and it looked no differn't that it has for the past 35 years.that I have be climbing it. Yes.... with machines you don't always stop and dig a hole to check stability you have to rely on your years personal experience and todays conditions which were the same as the last 4 days of riding.
