The first Lewes Bus rally I thought was a succss.
Not as many people as I thought but it was OK.
When I got there I thought I would just take video clips on my little camera which I have uploaded here. Unfortunatelly after 15minutes I had used up all the memory on my camera.
I was hoping to take long shots on board the buses.
The trip to Bently Wild Fowl and Motor Museum was the best trip as it was exceptionally scenic. Also the roar of the buses as they went up Lewis High Street was fantastic. You had to keep dipping your head down on the open top run as you would get a face full of tree otherwise.
Another trip I went to was to Uckfield which was a dissapointment. The journey was along the main road that I travelled on to get there and there was nothing at all at Uckfield. If you have never been there before and have considered going, well dont. Save yourself the money!
It's a pity I could not record this properlly. I hope the rally will be repeated next year and I will try to purchase a proper camcorder to record the journeys on board.
Lewes was an extreemly photogenic place to go to. You could have taken good pictures anywhere with nice old buildings, or pictures of buses coming up the hill with pleasent countryside in the background.
Roll on 2010!
