Thank you that was helpful!

what did you use as a potting medium, and how deep do you plant the seeds?

Great video. I got into growing things and bought some gerbera daisies from lowes also. i clipped two of the flowers and put them in a glass outside. Once they died, I never really got rid of them. Well today I went to look at them and noticed fluff and and things. I said hmm.. i wonder if those are seeds. Yours was the first video I watched and all the answers I needed. Thank you so much.

Amy, thank you so much for sharing this detailed video on starting Gerbera Daisies from seed. Perfect video, great job ! ! ! I am going to plant my seeds today! One question ~ I have pink and red gerbera daisies planted together will the next generation of flowers from these two plants be the same colors as the mother plants or different?

I really enjoyed this video. . .thanks for such a straightforward explanation.
Cool!, do you think I could do the same but with a gerbera bought in a flower shop, just the flower,( like when you buy flower for someone)?

@bjorkalways When the flower is dry enough that the seeds are falling away from the center of the flower is when you should pick the viable seeds & replant. It should work just fine. Good luck!
