In a tie game 1-1 in the bottom of the 7th inning Sherwood senior Nathan Craft came to the plate and had a 1-2 count with 2 outs. He hit a shot down the left field line and Quince Orchard LF Jason Williams made a game saving catch ... or did he? You be the judge. After a short delay the umps ruled it a no catch and sherwood went on to win 2-1.
No Catch. Great umps.

NO CATCH!!!!! He had NO CONTROL over the ball. Seemed like he thought he could skate by and play it off but he got caught NOT CATCHING it! Just my opinion!

how is this controversial?
any umpire know that you need to:
make an athletic move to gain complete position after a catch it made.
idk how clear that can be and how this is perfect example this is of a NO CATCH, this is a wonderful call by the umpires and they should get a medal instead of having the Washington Post embarrass them, what a joke........

Learn the rules before you go off on the empires for doing their job. How old are you and you are screaming like that over a play in a HIGH SCHOOL baseball game??

NO CATCH! He dropped the ball as his momentum carried him into foul territory. He did NOT complete the play. Check the rule book!

He didn't come up with the ball, it was NOT a catch! What was "controversial" about that finish?
