How to UN Roll Velcro Curlers, Taking Down Your Velcro Rollerset With Dianne Hanks

Queen of makeovers Dianne Hanks shares how to make the most of your velcro rollerset. For added oomph at the root, tease or rat each section as you unroll the curler, followed by spray.

When unrolling, be mindful of the "teeth" because they grab the other hairs around it too.

Hold each section while unrolling, being mindful that it doesn't grab the hairs around it, getting stuck. Roll the section around the fingers.

For added stay to the curl, use more styling product and leave the curlers in as long as possible. Sometimes they can be speed set with a soft-bonnet dryer or hooded dryer.

Can u heat them up with a hair dryer..?

@l3hxce I have with a bonnet dryer, but since they are NOT metal like some curlers, they aren't really "activated" by it. If you want to "speed up" the process with a hair dryer, I recommend a bonnet dryer.

@Justinbieblovestory1 Well, there are several things if you're determined to still try. You can be extra careful when unrolling your hair, starting from the bottom and following the techniques I share. You can de-volumize your hair's thickness using texturizing shears, your hairdresser will know what to do. You can avoid the small rollers altogether and simply use a curling iron for a few highlighted curls. Hope that's helpful!
