Great effect. The lava in the bowl looks like it's suddenly hotter. I'd suggest trying to get more of the black particles to sit in the big unmoving area in the bowl, making it look like the immobile part is cooling.

Okee.. so you did use two emitters: the cold black one with hight viscosity and the glowing yellow/orange one. but how did you make the black particles lighter so it floats on top of the heavyer particles?

@squardis The particles have density values. The dark particles have less density then the hot ones, making them float.

Are you using 3DS Max? I used to use glue 3d but it takes too many time to do it and it is not good for text filling. Have any one got an idea how to fill text using 3Ds Max or Real Flow? thx.

Well, using any liquid solver (particle or volume) will take a long time. That's just how it is. I don't use 3DS Max, but I can tell you that filling text is a rather easy exercise in RealFlow.
