~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ PLOT ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tu Hu-yen (Ku Kwun-chung), attempts to murder the Prince. He is caught and taken to an underwater stronghold. Its Chief, Mu Yung Hu-fang (Cheng Ke-wei), has ambitious plans to control the martial world, and wants Tu's help to get possession of the Tangs' Arsenal Manual from the wealthy collector Pai Yu-liu. She uses the notorious robber Hung Mei's name in a threat to abduct Pai's daughter Pai Ping. Pai is obliged to seek the help of his close friend Shen Sheng-yi (Ti Lung).
Tu has meanwhile had his appearance altered by plastic surgery, and lures Pai into a meeting with Mu Yung for a supposed antique deal. While Pai and Shen are with Mu Yung, Pai Ping is kidnapped. But the victim turns out to be Shen's girlfriend Su Yen-fei (Ching Li), whom he has used to bait the trap for Mu Yung. Su has been able to leave enough clues to ensure her rescue, but is again abducted when Shen's men are ambushed as they approach Pai's home.
Shen offers the Tangs' Manual in exchange for the hostage. Mu Yung manages to seize it without handing over the captive, but on returning to the underwater hideout she finds the Manual shredded and their captive worthless. But Su has again been able to leave clues, and Shen and his men find their way to her in time to save her life and to eliminate Mu Yung and her followers.
  • I love all these films and all but they can be very iritating at times. All the cobblers with the Kung Fu is a bit much aT TIMES. Just kill the bitch and her dad and get it over with..By the bitch I mean the bad bitch..Shen shuda sliced them into quivering strips of flesh by now..Get on with it..lol...sorry but it can be4 annoying at times..
  • @reaper060670 I think you're wrong. Bad characters are too strong to be killed very easily, that's why there are so much trikcy actian. And according your thought, all adventure movies (such as james bond, indiana jones ... etc) must be full of unnecessary actions. because all leading actian character should have killed bad man in the very beginning.
  • @reaper060670 by the way, why are there too much terror and pain in the world, good guys should have killed all bad guys until now. I think this movie so realistic and paralel with real world. ^_^
  • I thought I saw a DISCO Ball..haha! Could that have been in CHINA way back when? I doubt it but I suppose it's only the movies, eh?..lol..Still funny tho!
  • @reaper060670 That's why I like these films. You may come across anything at any moment :P
  • I agree with aumurg.To keep a movie interesting,main villains shouldn't be killed off too soon.Because if that happens,that movie will become very boring.What will heroes do then? And usually many good characters have to sacrifice to kill a main villain.
  • @aumurg some of my comments may look like I'm slagging off the films but I'm not. I just want to make thast clear my friend. I think there have been maybe 2 films I didn't enjoy that much out of all I've watched so far. love the films from this era..I'm a massive Horror fan..I love all the old Universal b/w from 30's onwrds..but my fav horror film are the HAMMER HORROR FILMS from the 50/60/70's period..Those period films were beautifully made just like the Shaw Bros films.Cud talk 4 hrs bout it.
  • @aumurg some very valid points my friend..thnx 4 taking the time to reply. appreciate it very much. These films were made in a simplier time I guess? Blood and guts is the name of the game in actions or horror films today but back then it wasn't so prevelant. I don't wanna see some1's insides hanging out but I still think the gd guys cud kill quicker at times. I love the sets in all of these films. I know nothing about the Shaw Bros til I came across them on here. Great time 4 Asian film biz??
