Prob is that they will compete with natural species in the great lakes. And in effect the Great Lakes would die and just be stale water with no plankton or plants cuz the carp would eat it all. Mass fish death would occur. This is something we dont want to happen because the Great Lakes are a HUGE source of fresh water that we wouldnt want to lose.
i caught these bastards all the time, buffalo and asian carp, the best bait i have used is Big Red Soda, Cornflakes, and Flour. down here in Texas. theyre fun to rangle, but i see their danger.
