You simply DO NOT get it. Go take a class in basic economics. I'll try one more time. If a company "makes" 40 billion, that number alone does not tell me if the profit is excessive. I need to know what investment was required to make that much money and how many stock holders there are. Let's say gross revenues were several hundred billion dollars and the net after expenses is 40 billion. I don't see any problem with making 8-10 % as a profit margin. What's wrong with that?

You clearly think Obama is a bad choice & all who vote for him are "Bozos."
You must think McCain is a better choice, but he will lose the election because Obama "is your next president."
If Obama is the next president because the "Bozo" majority voted him in; what does that say about the majority who voted for Bush? That majority voted HIM in - TWICE. And you can bet they aren't the "Bozos" who will be voting for Obama.
It's time for a president who has a plan for our Country's future.

Key words in this clip: "Energy Independence" & "Washington working for you." Whoever said that Exxon etc. has to be an Oil company? GE now makes energy efficient light bulbs!
Obama understands that Oil is killing this country. Exxon etc. would be applauded if they became part of this Country's assured financial future by developing the Next Big Thing in Energy that we could produce here at home!
There's nothing wrong with getting people talking about the issues like we all are now!

Can we soon put windmills & solar panels on our cars using Big Oil's profits? YES WE CAN!!
Can we carefully drill for American oil using advanced technology & therefore reduce the price of a gallon of gasoline by more than 2 cents in less than 10 years?

Regardless of where the oil comes from, the oil companies will charge what the market will bear. Therefore homegrown oil vs foreign oil will not change the price per gallon at the pump.
The question is not "where do we get our oil from?" it's where do we get our ENERGY from" and "how much of the profit stays in the US ?"
Oil will eventually dry up! Why invest the economic future of our country in a well that we know will run dry? The sun shines and the wind blows right here at home!

Sounds AWESOME!! Great nifty!! Despite Obama's WONDERFUL words - HOPE doesn't power our country. COAL, OIL, NATURAL GAS and NUCLEAR engergy - since he is opposed to all of the above mentioned - HOPE must be the only option Obama has until this AMBIGUOUS "future" energy he mentioned arrives. Maybe I can't "imagine" HOPE but I can imagine NOT HAVE POWER!

Edison imagined luminescence from from a solid state device. Until he found it he used fire. Ford imagined affordable transportation for the masses. Until then, people used horses. Apple & Microsoft trail-blazed the home computer. Until then, we wrote documents on a typewriter.
Just because something works today, doesn't mean there isn't something better out there. If no one has the vision, we will forever be stuck in the past. As the leader of a nation, I expect a visionary in command.
