  • Im getting ready to buy a bike that has about 3k miles on it. if the guy before me was using synthetic can I use regular??

  • @redneck500 Honestly if he is using a synthetic already on this bike I wouldn't buy it. Synthetic is good to run in them after you have about 7500-10k miles otherwise the parts and seals haven't worn in. Thats my opinion but if you decide to buy it yes if he ran senthetic for only 2500 miles it should be fine to run regular.

  • my motorcycle has been leaking oil and now it has a extremely low amount of oil so i can't turn on the bike to get it warmed up to drain the oil properly. what could i do?

  • @Thugnificent808 Depending on where you live any weather above 85 degrees should be sufficient to drain the majority of the oil. Let the bike sit in the sun for a couple of hours and this could also help raise the internal temperature enough to drain it as well. I Recommend these because my bike used a straight sae 50 and is thicker than normal automobile oil.

  • I have a Yamaha V Star...why does it cost so much to change the oil???

  • @GTCooper223 Depending on where you take you bike and what brand of oil they use it can run you quite a bit. especcially if you take i to a dealer and they use royal purple.

  • I put much oil in my bike caused all kinds of problems

  • @jbunger72 I was about to take my VStar to the dealer down the street to change the oil when I decided to do a quick google search to see if I could change it myself for less. Thanks for the video, I'm going to do it myself on my bike here in a bit.

  • @redneck500 No you cant, mineral oil wont go hand in hand with the Synthetic.

  • @GTCooper223 JUST GET THE CLYMER MANUAL FOR YOUR BIKE AND LEARN TOO CHANGE YOUR OIL YOUR SELF THATS WHAT I DID . THE FIRST TIME I WENT TOO CHANGE MY OIL AT A DEALER I FLIP IT COST ME MORE THAN A CAR I LEARN TO DO IT REAL FAST ON MY OWN BY BUYING THE CLYMER MANUAL . I BELIEVE IT COST SO MUCH BECAUSE THATS WHAT WE COME TOO THEM THE MOST FOR OIL CHANGE WE HARDLY COME TOO THEM FOR ENGINE PROBLEM THEY ONLY HAVE FIVE MONTH IN A YEAR DEPEND ON WHERE YOU LIVE TOO MAKE MONEY FALL AND WINTER BIKE IN PARK

  • @redneck500 its fine, no harm at all

  • this is funny.....the only thing that keeps your oil in the engine is a plastic cap to a hose? i mean no big screw in the bottom of the crankcase? is this the way Harley does it ? damn Harley ...you scary !
