The general idea is to filter out the solvent(usually Butane/Isopropyl alcohol is used Solvents are whatever the THC and it's isomers are being dissolved in) if it's a gas like butane you can just suck it all up again as it evaporates and collect the THC oil left behind on a piece of filter paper or whatever is holding it back. This is called Vaccum filtration.

Are you vacuuming while the extract is in a warm state, or is it cold? Either way, what hg are you using for your purge? thx

@bweez100 Looks & sounds like a very simple vacuum chamber to siphon off the solvent without using heat as to avoid cooking off any thc content. You could probably try making a test-of-concept mock-up by using an empty pickle-jar hooked up to a bicycle pump (who's hose would be wired from the air intake [to create a vacuum] instead of from the air output [which creates pressure]) to manually create a vacuum.
