  • The intro when they show the anchors reminded me with Dallas Tv Series!

  • Anyone know what happened to Bill Brown?

  • @gameshowguy2000 I know the history of KDFW,. but after his tenure there, he went to KHOU in Houston. Unfortunately, while he was at a parade he found a lump in his neck and was later diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease in 1986 and was forced to take chemotherapy before returning to work and eventually work for WFAA. Further on down the line, the effects of the disease and chemotherapy caused him further health problems. After he died in 2001, some found out more about him during a retrospect.

  • @Reddaytonadog

And Chip was the only anchor to be at all 3 major DFW TV stations: WFAA, KXAS, and KDFW (back when it was a CBS affiliate).

  • @gameshowguy2000 I have and I still live in Dallas/Fort Worth. I've seen many of these operations go down during COPS, The Commish, Dragnet, World's Wildest Police Videos, and L.A.P.D. Life on the Beat. The other major story involved The Trial of Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price, who had many scrapes with the law and more controversy since becoming County Commisioner in 1985. Chip Moody is the reason we knew about these stories from back then in Dallas/Fort Worth.

  • @Reddaytonadog

Thanks for the info..I assume you know about this particular part of law enforcement and/or lived in the D/FW area.

  • @gameshowguy2000 It's like Bill Brown said, an undercover buy-bust or a sting to catch either a supplier or a supplier catching a customer. Unfortunately, Officer Bromley was mistaken as a suspect and was killed by friendly fire from his own men while the actual suspect drew a weapon as Bromley attempted to purchase the narcotics during this buy-bust operation. That's one of the risks everyone needs to understand when working undercover, especially any Narcotics unit or Narcotics squad/Narc.

  • I remember that drug bust shooting. Happened next to where the old Bennigans was. I was in 2nd grade then. Time flies.

  • I 100% agree!!

  • People should really post full-lengths newscasts from the 90's.
