2 hours later.
Demi was asleep on the couch with her head on Joe's lap. Joe was watching TV with the volume on low, The twins were also taking a nap.
Then the doorbell rang. Joe didnt wanna disturb Demi so he just stayed there. Then. Nick looked at him through the window and Joe motioned for him to come in.
Nick: ready to go? *he looks at Demi asleep and smiles*
Joe: uhhh, i dont know. i dont wanna wake her. She looks so peaceful, she's had a looong day. you know?
Nick: so, where's Adam & Rosie?
joe: in Demi's room. they're asleep.
Nick: darn it, i wanted to go say hi to Adam. *smiles*
Joe: oh, dont even try,
Nick: what? I'm his favorite,.
Joe: see, thats what kevin said.
Nick: oh, then nevermind, *he's embarrassed*
Joe: *he laughs*
Demi: *she opens her eyes*
Joe: ooops. sorry, i didnt mean to wake you.
demi: oh, its okay, *she sits up*
When she sits up, and sees Nick, she gets up to hug him.
Nick: so you guys ready to go?
demi: oh, god. i'm not even ready yet.
nick: i could wait, thats no problem.
demi: really? thanks. i'll only be a few minutes, *she runs to her room*
An hour later, They pull up into the Jonas' house.
demi: wow, its been a long time.
joe: well, you're here now, come in.
demi: c'mon, Rosie, lets go see Daddy's house, *she smiles and follows joe in*
mrs.J: Demi! wow, its so nice to have you back, *smiles*
demi: its good to be back, Mrs. Jonas.
mrs.J: please, call me Denise. We're family now, right?
demi: um, yeah. *she smiles* so whats for dinner?
mrs.J: *she laughs* c'mon in and have a seat.
Demi follows her in and Joe pulls out her seat for her.
mrs.J; *she sets the table with the food and takes a seat, also* so, we just need to wait on a few more people.
demi: who?
Mrs.J: oh, i invited Selena and Ashley.
Kev/Nick: WHAT!?
Mrs.J: yes, they should be here any minute.
kev: why'd you do that for?
Mrs.J: because i made plenty of food.
Joe: *he comes in* i just got off the phone with Ashley.
kev: and?
joe: she cant make it.
kev: why?
joe: she has this thing she has to do tonight.
mrs.J: oh, thats too bad.
kev: yeah, oh too bad. *he smiles nervously*
Joe leans over to Demi.
joe: *whispers* He and Ashley broke up.
demi: what?
Joe: *shruggs*
The doorbell rings,
demi: i think i know who that is. *she smiles* I'll get it! *she runs to the door*
sel: *she is waiting at the door, excited to see Demi*
demi: *opnes the door* Selena! *she hugs her*
sel: i cant believe you're staying!
demi: me neither, *laughs*
sel: where's adam and Rosie? *smiles*
demi: in here. *she pulls her hand in* c'mon, we're about to have dinner.
Selena takes a seat at the table next to Kevin, which is two seats away from Nick.
Mrs.J: sooo, lets eat! dig in, everybody. *she smiles and starts to pass plates of food around*
After Dinner.
Mrs.J: *she gets up* I'm gonna go clean up in the kitchen and leave you kids to talk.
demi: *she gets up, also* oh, Denise, you need any help in there?
Mrs.J: oh, Demi. thats very nice, but I'm fine, thank you. *she smiles then leaves*
joe: sooo...
demi: *she smiles and sits back down next to Joe*
Joe takes her hand and holds it under the table without anyone knowing, Demi turns to him and smiles.
kev: soo, joe, demi, any wedding ideas?
demi: oh, ummm....
joe: we arent talking about that right now, or wont for a long time.
nick: why not?
demi: right now we're just gonna focus on our careers, rosie and adam, and of course each other. *she smiles*
joe: yeah.
sel: well, then sice you guys are 'engaged', is joe gonna move in? or is it the other way around?
demi: ummm...
joe: we havent discussed that yet.
kev: boy, you guys are LOST!
They all laugh.
