At the request of Boston Pops conductor Arthur Fiedler, Dr. Anderson arranged this famous piece consisting of nine familiar Christmas melodies. This first recorded version by Anderson was released over two sides of a single 78rpm and 45rpm record in time for the 1952 holiday season. Rather than this pre-hi-fi era recording, different mono and stereo versions of Anderson's medley were issued on subsequent LP and CD releases.
78rpm: Decca 16041 - A Christmas Festival (Sides 1 & 2) by Leroy Anderson & His "Pops" Concert Orchestra.
Best Christmas medley ever!

Brings back fond memories of seventy years ago... my parents (now departed) and I sitting around a roaring log fire at Christmas listening to this fantastic arrangement. Simple times ... simple pleasures with very little money and a lot of love and contentment.
