Low Fat Organic Smoothie Recipe

--1 organic Banana
--3 or 4 organic strawberries
--2 large chunks of organic pineapple
--2 tbs of organic low fat vanilla yogurt
--1 tbs organic flax seed (finely ground)
--6 to 8 ice cubes
--Between 1/2 c. to 1c. of Almond Milk (use less for thicker smoothies)

  • @lhartlett As expensive as organic fruit is, it kills me to see it ruin. It does work great for smoothies. If your using it for anything other than smoothies it can be inconvenient because you have to wait for it to thaw so that's why it's good to have both fresh and frozen assortments. Even Kroger's has frozen organic fruit. ;-)

  • So clever, my fruit never gets eaten fast enough either. I need to invest in frozen fruit!

  • @sweetpimpin23 Yeah the pineapple really makes it. And the vanilla yogurt also sweetens it up. I've been using pineapple for a while, but until I added the yogurt it didn't taste right to me either. Be sure to get vanilla flavored. ;-) Thanks for watching!!

  • Sounds good I can never seem to get mine right. I think I was missing the pineapple. I tried adding honey to make it sweet and tasted like poo. So Ill have to try it again with pineapple instead.
