Beautiful shots and video. We Paiutes had stories about Muir. I heard through some tales that he was a very eccentric person, but they saw him many times by himself enjoying the nature that is both Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy. John Muir truely loved both areas.

I have long thought of the dam as a headstone that should read,"Here lies Hetch-Hetchy.Born Day 5,Died 1923.Never has so much been sacrificed by so many for so few." I'm a registered Democrat,so I don't do this often,but I'd like to quasi-quote Ronald Reagan and say,"Senators Boxer and Feinstein,TEAR DOWN THAT DAM!" Hetch-Hetchy's headstone is NOT permanent.Like some guy named Jesus,Hetch-Hetchy WILL rise again!!!
