It's a standard medical procedure in America to suction out babies. All 3 of mine were rapid NVD's, 1st with ARM/AROM and none of them were suctioned at birth, although 1st should have been suctioned out due to Artificial Rupture of Membranes with a rapid NVD, because she needed some blow by 02 in a humidicrib, with just looking at her from behind a humidicrib was considered being in the way, so holding her was a big considered a huge privellege. With suction some 02 may never have been needed

@mylovesofmylife Well, it didn't happen w/ my 2nd, bc we had him at home. Pregnant w/ #3 and this will be a homebirth too. I hate hospital procedures.

Maybe, I've always wondered what babies think while going through birth and the first few days on earth, compared to the womb. Either way though, our next baby who I am currently pregnant with will be born at home, in hopefully a candle type of lighting, something more calm.

It knocks me off my feet as a medical professional to see that this dumb nurse is acutally first shoving the suction tube down the babies throat..she then uses that same tubing to shove down her nose and back into her mouth THAT is a absolute NO NO period as it transports any virus and goo straight into the babies lungs... on top of it all it is disgusting and simply unprofessional
