just after i beat him i fell off the small platform thing.

At 3:00, he enters the door as small Mario with 385 seconds left. He enters next room as big Mario with 280 seconds left. Wonder what happened? ;)

If you do 7-6, at the end go through the top tube. That will unlock a path to the castle, and if you go through there you will get in an area with a pipe. Go down the pipe and then you will get out the pipe you mean!

mine is very weird, when i went into the castle i was in a room with a pipe in front me and when i went though it , i was in front of the entrance to the room where the boss is .
