  • hello paul/frank

i am making a plane myself and i got the plans but i dont have my servo's , speed controller motor and i dunno what i need more but my question is: "how can i make them react to my controller" like when i want to turn to left my servo's know what to do thank you

    greeting karel

  • @Karelg7 as all radios are a little different you would be best off reading through the manual for your radio. It should explain in detail how to set it up. If you don't have the manual do a search on the internet. There are usually manuals you can download. If you can't find one then try searching the rc forums as there is a lot of great information there.

  • 2) Also I'm a little confused about the motor stick mount. I understand how the make the motor mount however in the pictures there is a long thin piece of wood that goes down the length of the wing, but i don't see any instructions in the plans about this.

    Thank you very much...

  • swarmflyer you can make the motor mount anyt way you like to fit the motor you are using. I added the thin piece of wood for extra strength. You can use it or not its just personal preference.

  • wgere do i buy like that

  • Thank you guys so much!

    I really appreciate the feedback.

    Have a great Thanksgiving!!!

  • swarmflyer you will need to set up the two servos as elevons by mixing the elevator and aileron controls. This is either done with radio programming or a v-tail mixer. If you don't know how to do this just do a search on elevon mixing. We ususally use Greatplanes small control horns with Du-Bro ez conectors. For control rods we use Du-Bro 2-56 with steel clevises. All from the local hobby shop.

  • Hey Guys,

I was wondering if i could get a little help.

I'm gathering all the parts to do my build, and I'm stuck on a couple things.

    1) I'm a little confused about the servo linkages and assembly, control rods, control horns, etc.

I went to a local Hobby shop, and they have a ton of options to connect servos to control surfaces.
