Antioxidants are one of the three important daily skincare treatments. However, instead of applying antioxidants topically, can you just ingest them (e.g., drink orange juice for vitamin c)? In this episode of DermTV, Dr. Schultz answers this question.

Everyone can have beautiful, healthy, and younger looking skin, and DermTV, the Internet's daily skincare video show, will demonstrate how by revealing expert tips and techniques and by providing real solutions for real skincare issues.

Skincare (whether cosmetic or medical) previously required a trip to your dermatologist or a shopping spree at the pharmacy. And that's if you have a trusted nearby dermatologist or a local informed pharmacy. But not anymore. We at DermTV are committed to making best-in-class dermatology and skincare guidance accessible to everyone, anytime, at your computer.

Every weekday, our host, Dr. Neal Schultz, one of New York's most trusted and respected dermatologists (see bio below), teaches skincare's most timely and timeless issues. Topics include: the best at home techniques and new technology for facial rejuvenation, preventing and fixing sun damage from wrinkles to skin cancer, breaking news in dermatology, general skincare topics, and more.

  • @starlight2009x Buy a big bag of organic apples and eat a half every day. Trust me, it makes a HUGE difference. :)

  • @starlight2009x Take biotin

  • @fobbishme hydroquinone, licorice extract, tranaxemic acid, ellagic acid etc

  • @Joyceline same here, except I take it in the liquid form, meaning that, yes, I drink a teaspoon of fish oil every day. (It's not as yucky as it prob sounds! hehe) Does wonders for the skin, hair, and nails. But especially the skin.

  • @starlight2009x Biotin and more Omega 3s.

  • @Joyceline wow, thank you. that is very helpful to me.

    thanks again.

  • @starlight2009x I've seen noticeable improvements in my complexion with taking Omega-3 capsules (fish oil). A psychiatrist recommended it to me as a natural mood enhancer, but I noticed it helped clear up my pimples too.

  • hi doctor, what brands of topical antioxidants would you recommend?

  • @SanneMusic No! It typically makes acne worse.

  • @fobbishme

hydroquinone comes in an OTC strength. 4% is Rx strength.
