Star Trek XI - Fake Footage

Ok, not really footage from the new Star Trek film, but being a fan of TrekMovie.com I decided to create my own fake footage. This was done using the latest version of Blender, some high-resolution maps from NASA, and the wonderful Enterprise-A mesh by Dennis Bailey from http://stblender.iindigo3d.com/meshes_startrek.html. And you know, if I can do this, anyone can really. Lots of fun, highly recommend it. And of course, the music is the opening fanfare from Star Trek 5.

TOTALLY 5 stars... very good. You must have watched the Phase II stuff. How did you get the wonderful atmosphere effect on the Earth?

Thank you, I appreciate the positive feedback. The atmosphere effect is just a halo / glow on the mesh that makes the earth's underlying structure, plus an off-camera lighting source. I'll have to make some more enterprise shots -- it's so much fun for a novice like myself!

Maybe it had something to do with the face it was the Refit and not the E from the new film, but still id give it 5 stars as it look awesome lealed footage or not
