This blister is a result of a defense mechanism when blood circulation to my left thumb was cut, due to improperly applied tube gauze.
Using an applicator to insert this tube gauze over the thumb the negligent nurse applied such tension that blood circulation was interrupted. I had the thumb numb by the anesthesia given by a doctor to treat the wound that made me attend the ER at St, Josephs Hospital, in the first place.
24 hours later I was back at ER to remove the gauze. The thumb was purple black and lifeless. No sensation anywhere. Within hours the blister was visible and this video was filmed the day after the removal of the gauze.

  • As a trauma nurse I've seen some pretty dumb situations people find themselves regardless of culpability, that you just have to laugh about it. However, we are not there because we like harming others in need. You however (regardless of amount of lidocaine used) you should have felt the bandage growing 2 tight within an hour tops along with intense pain within an hour tops.It quickly would've turned purple/black within 3, yet u leave the bandage on regarless?? Who's negligent here?

  • @IMelling60 Only once the nurse (not the negligent one) started to remove the bandage, I knew something was really wrong. I start seeing it. It was horrible. Black and skinny. Looked like a shrink old skin and bone. It just didn’t belong to that hand. Then, the blood started flowing, the pain increased to unsustainable levels

  • @IMelling60 The point about negligence has nothing to do with being there to harm others. That is a different crime and addressed in a different way and surely with different consequences. If you find that your Bank account is missing 100,000 you probably will ask for an investigation. After some time the auditors found that some bank employee missed part of a certain procedure and resulted on that situation.

  • @IMelling60 (The truth is that wouldn’t happen because there are a lot of other redundancy systems, to cover for these possible occurrences.. Unfortunately these aren’t possible in our Health programs) But I am sure that you would get really upset with the fellow that screw up your account, specially that you needed that money at that moment to cover an emergency surgery that your mother needed. It could get worse and you mother actually died because of that.

  • @IMelling60 . Well, the fellow didn’t choose his profession because he likes to screw up peoples accounts.. right?

  • @IMelling60 Please read my response from the bottom up. I was limited by the amount of characters I could post as reply, so I divided my answer in several POSTs.

The first one is the bottom and this is the last
