You're comparing the Neo Geo which came out in 1991 to the 360 and PS3 which came out 15 years later? The reason why the hardware was so expensive was because it is actual arcade hardware. The only difference between the home system and arcade system is that the arcade system has backup ram and the home version instead used a memory card and of course the carts had different pinouts to avoid piracy.
Arcade hardware isn't cheap which of course didn't save the consumer any money sadly.

yeah SNK is good when it comes to graphics,cool characters and soundtracks but the gameplay is on fucking steroids

I'll admit they had they elite system of Thier time I drooled over one for years and years but Thier was nooooo way my pearants were gonna buy me that ever!! No rent money for me. Now different story ps3 700 bucks later 450 still pretty pricey. But the neo geo games where 200 to 300 bucks apiece ouch.

@GojiGuy Just hit the select game button. But once you start a game you cant change it until the game over screen.

@Bmon9468 Their sports games could have been better but there are a couple sport game gems. Windjammers, Ultimate 11 and Neo Turf Masters are 3 of my all time faves.
