(HD) Transcript: "I think quite a bit of the traditional imagery of heaven comes to us from passages like the book of Revelation. The last book of the Bible, which many people have difficulty interpreting, because its really a book written in cartoon and in code which would of been easily interpreted in the first century, which we now rather take literally. Its hard to explain this but, if you look at a political cartoon...theres just been an election in America, and a lot of the cartoons will have elephants and donkeys, because the parties have those 2 as their symbol. If you lived in a culture that didnt use those animals, as political representations, you would think, what are they talking about? Is there a problem with the elephants in America. Is there... The answer is no. Youve got to decode that. So all the language about clouds and harps, this is a way of saying, this is the language we have traditionally used. But we know this language is like a signpost pointing to something else. And dont get stuck on the language, get to the reality."

  • My presentation on Revelation Chapter 9, Part 2, covers some of the questions people posed from the first video. I reinforce the fact that the stars falling are Atom Bombs, and the first bomb was a terrorist attack. I connect the mention of the 12 Tribes of Israel as being the Christian people, and I begin to establish the fact that the mention of Murder, Sorcery, Fornication, & Thefts at the end of the chapter are actually industries -- /watch?v=FFiDGdTDvQo

  • I like this man. He is the sane, reasonable side of christianity.

However, how does he know how one should interpret the bible? The answer is, he doesn't. Therefore if I (a human, like him) interpret the bible as anacronynistic drivel, my views are carry just as much value as his. In the absence of any evidence one is only left with a literal interpretation of the bible. God help us!

  • What it is like? "Life in the World Unseen" , free download from the internet.

  • what is real? how would you define 'real'? If by real, you mean what you can smell, see taste and touch, than 'real' is nothing more than electrical signals interpreted by your brain. -Morpheus, THE MATRIX

  • wow an expert on an imaginary place,

  • The book of Revelation does not describe the saints "going to heaven" but rather the New Jerusalem descending to earth. The dwelling place of God will be the middle east (per John).

  • hmm.. interesting concepts... check out the clouds im recording.

  • Langueage is, at best, an interpretation. I have often remarked that should a modern scientist write his version of cosmology in the restrictive vocabulary of Moshe and the ancient Hebrews, it would read much the same as Beresh'it. Yet, believers continue to make these details of creation a major impediment to belief in G*d. How silly. Excellent observation about language, sir.
