This is a short video about a 00 scale model railway layout called Melrose End, a fictional joint LMS/LNER terminus. The footage was filmed at the recent (08/12/07) Wigan Model Railway Exhibition.

Melrose End was designed and built by Mr Brian Davis of Rainhill Model Railway Club, with assistance from his son Matthew. The layout is designed for home and exhibition operation. The locos are a mix of kit built and ready to run, the rolling stock likewise. The buildings are scratchbuilt and kit built as well. The trackwork is Peco Code 100.

Melrose End was the subject of an article in the January 2008 edition of British Railway Modelling (Volume 15, issue 10).

DISCLAIMER - I DO NOT OWN THIS LAYOUT; IT IS THE WORK OF BRIAN AND MATTHEW DAVIS. THEREFORE, ALL CREDIT IS DUE TO THEM.

Thanks go to Brian and Matthew Davis for permission to record these scenes. To see the pictures, check out: http://www.davidhennesseystrainworld.fotopic.net/c1421647.html
