3D 300ZX drive on a cold mountain. This is a very simple and basic animation. Rendered at draft setting and animation set quickly for test rendering only.
And yes, Casper the friendly Z ghost is driving the car!

  • How did you make the steering wheel move along with the car turning?? Plz reply I have craft animations tool, 3ds max, and maya and would like to know how did you do it, your good.

  • @techgamer550 Thanks. There is a plugin for it called 4-wheeler extended you have to have to do it. It creates a "bone" system, ie a base vehicle rig. What you do is basically parent parts of the car to the parts of the rig (wheels/tires, suspension, body, steering wheel).

  • @techgamer550 Basically to get the steering wheel to move you parent your steering wheel to the rig one and as long as the rest of the car is rigged properly it will move/turn when you direct the car. There are tutorials here on youtube that will fully explain it by craftanimations.

  • @tsefreeflow Quick question, How did you make the car drive on the surface for a distance because I tried to make a car drive on a slot race track and 3ds max keeps lagging, any ideas? And is that dreamscape plugin also for the mountain landscape?

  • @techgamer550 Not totally sure what you mean, but the program, craft animations, has the option to use the ground as the plane in which to drive on. This plane could be any size or shape, the gravity it adds to the scene drops the car on to that plane and you control it there. The mountains were made in Vue with no extra plugins.

  • well done! what programs are u using to create it?

  • @Neflyte300zx : Thanks! In total I used Maya, Vue, Craft, Mental Ray, and Pinnacle Studio.
