This makes me think of Fred Frith and Henry Kaiser's duet albums, especially the guitar in the left channel, which sounds very much like some of the stuff HK did in the same period as this recording. MXR Pitch Transposer at work?
I owned the original vinyl when it first came out in 1981 & used the opening track as the music to a student film I made. I don’t understand why this record hasn’t been released on CD. (For that matter I think Quine’s other record Basic is also out of print.) I heard Robert Quine a few times with the Richard Hell & I even met & talked to him a few times. His death was very sad. I haven’t heard this record in years but the music is still vivid in my mind. Thanks for posting.

This song is amazing. Robert Quine was one of the most talented guitarists to ever grace my ears, and by far the best lead guitarist of a punk band.
