My Acadian village of Cheticamp. What makes it so special in my heart. There is no other place like it.The song mon beau pays song by Acadian superstar Sylvia Lelievre.Buy her cd
It's paradise there, two weeks i returned from my vacation...can't forget the place...my body came back to ontario, but i left my heart in Cheticamp.... I hope to retire there.
My Father, Joseph a` Placide a` Eusebe was born in Cheticamp in 1896. My aunt is Elizabeth LeFort, Canada's Artist in wool. I have deep roots to Cheticamp and area, have visited many times, and truly, this is a special part of the world, with special people. Thank you for putting up the video, it brought back many fond memories for myself, and my family. Gord LeFort
My wife, her sister and husband as well as my sister and husband visited Cheticamp several times and became friends with Willie Joe and Corrine Chiasson while there. What a beautiful place that area is. Thanks for posting this site.
They say that 'envy' is a sin..well, I'll just have to live with that one, i guess.
My father grew up in cheticamp and I heard stories while growing up. He told me of our Acadian heritage and it gives me a sense of pride. I took my daughters to visit my cousins in Cheticamp. We live in Atlanta, Georgia but now we think of Cheticamp as our second home. I never knew that joy, serenity and beauty could all be in the same place. i know that I must go back..soon. Thank you for your video.
I've had the privilege of visiting Cheticamp many a time, and would like to take this opportunity to thank the hardy welcoming people of this community for welcoming me and my wife into their homes and hearts. You are the finest people I've ever met, Au Revoir, et Vive L'Acadie!!
My cousin, Eric Chiasson lives in Cheticamp.. This vdeo makes me 'homesick' for my father's home.
