@levischorpioen That's what I thought. Mark I know has been a fan of death metal for a long time because Chuck Schuldiner is one of his favorite musicians and he was using growling when he was still in After Forever.

@Jamiebaker15 Arien was in God Dethroned together with Isaac. Actually, Isaac is in the band because when Ad left, Arien told the other members Isaac should be his replacement.

@levischorpioen Before Epica both Isaac and I'm pretty sure Arien were both in death metal bands. I know Isaac was in God Dethroned but I'm not entirely sure about Arien. Isaac was definitely in the death metal scene before he joined Epica.

Epica's the first symphonic metal band that didn't make me want to shoot myself while reading their lyrics. Quite the contrary.
