Women in our society have been socialized to believe that they are to identify themselves ONLY by the physical attributes they possess which they perceive to be sexually appealing. This is in opposition to the notion that they should do an internal inventory and learn to appreciate not only the physical but all traits that are of worth.

A man who only looks to a woman's body will be blinded to the truism of who she truly is.

Am I the last prude standing? lol Certainly there have to be other women who don't believe that curves are more important than mental fortitude.... I am glad women are no longer ashamed of their bodies, but does empowerment have to come at the expense of baring all to the world?

  • No, Reecee. .. I think you got it right! I don't know what time period you came up in. But if it was the same as 60s/70s, that was a good time to be raised in. So much could be said on this but space is sooo limited. Keep up the pos work! Take care. . .

  • I apologize for having missed your comment previously. I do not get alerts as I should on YT. I am the product of two hippies, so it bodes well that they would have instilled in me idealisms from that time. :)

Thank you for watching...and commenting. You are appreciated! Much love...

  • Great video. I think it's great to hear people speak out about issues like this. I wish more women had self respect these days. I mean, I look at society these days and I feel that some people don't have moral values anymore.

  • I apologize for it taking so long for me to have responded to this. I no longer get alerts for comments posted on certain videos.

I appreciate your watching this and the comment. As I said, I often feel as though I am a "stranger in a strange land," as my view on this subject differs so greatly from women of my generation.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • No, you haven't gotten old, just wiser, which just makes you even more beautiful.

Welcome back, it's good to see you :)

  • A compliment from you is all the more appreciated. :o)

Thank you... for watching & commenting!

  • My previous comment was made because for me and for most blacks, our parents were pretty strict and hardnosed about parenting. The idea was since their lives were almost a living hell, they wanted to make sure ours was much better. So they implemented as much discipline and "decency" as they could in us. Their technique wasnt always the best but mostly they achieved the desired effects. I hope you can understand my position on this. Take care love!

  • Ree you are NOT a prude!! You are just being real and saying what you feel which by most peoples perspective is the same exact thing. I could never see my daughter posting a video on facebook with her dancing any kinda way other then respectful. I really admire your out look on a lot of things and your kids will be thankful when they are older and have children of their own that you have installed your values in them!! There should be more people like you in the world!!!

  • How could I NOT watch, comment and compliment? :)

I look forward to seeing more of you.

  • Aww thanks for the hug Tori!! Hope you've been well. I'll have to catch up on your videos. :o)
