It depends on where from this ball is coming ( from anus or vulva) and the nature of it, it may be rectal,vaginal or uterine prolapse. It may be just foetal membranes if the cow is giving birth.

i don't understand this. the vagina is inside the anus or you are grab it through the wall of the intestine?

@maritimetimes The anus leads to the rectum(the last part of the large intesine) , the cows genital tract lies under the rectum so when you insert your arm through the anus you can palpate the cows genital tract through the thin walled rectum.

hi, looks really easy here, but im taking reproductive tract class and its kind of hard, did you find it difficult the first couple of times? i can find the cervix easy but i find it hard to follow and feel the horns, i think its cuz of the rectum being in the way makes it hard to really grab the division of the horns. any thought or advice? thanks..
