PLS READ BEFORE COMMENTING ! hello this is an update and i feel that i need a more thorough explanation. well, i only did this for a short while before reverting back to sand baths and i would like to stress that i only leave it in for a short while and never leave it without supervisation and would pick it up and dry it with a towel personally till its fur is fluffy and soft, I did not and will never attempt to abuse any animals and i do not want any misunderstandings and i would thanks u guys for the suggestions and advices that it will cause wet tail but as i said it never did develop this condition as i dry to every single time! And sad to say, it had alr passed away for a while now due to old age .... Thanks for understanding :) and i would like to apologise for any misunderstandings and if i sounded defensive n all. To those people who like to try this, i advice u to use sand bath too just in case and if u rlly do want to try this, pls put less water, put in for a minute or two and look out fro distress and take it out immediately if observed and dry it thoroughly with a towel! and lastly pls do not leave any rude or even vulgar comment please! peace :)

  • My hamster never dies when he gets in bath but whats a wet tail please reply watashi and your hamster is soo cute! my hamster died because of cold or something he died before my birthday november 13 2009 he died november 14 was my birthday i was crying cause he died and your hamster is soo cute its like he/she loves water but my hamster doesent really like water cause he keeps trying to escape but he cant he keeps slipping and sliding but one time he escaped im favoriting and subbing to you! :3!

  • @powerofsonic I am so sorry to hear that D: well, wet tail is a bacterial infection or an imbalance of the natural bacteria in the hamster's stomach or intestine! well, bathing a hamster may cause that but i always let it in for a few minutesd then i will dry it immediately till the fur is fluffy soft so that it wount cause infections :) but i uses sand bath after many advices on youtube :)

  • Retard. My friend's hamster died because it got wet. Got wet tail and she came to my house crying with the hamster trembling in her hands. Looked to be in a lot of pain and very cold. >.> NEVER put a hamster in water like that. Even though you're doing sandbaths now, you still have this video up which is just cruelty. Take it down.

  • @ApatheticTurtle well, i always dry it immedately with a towel and took care to dry it throughly so that it wont develop a bacterial infection well, i m rlly sorry for ur friend's hamster D: TBH, this hamster died too, but of old age u see....

  • Look....I'm not going to be one of those illiterate ignorant people below me....

My hamster died after I put it in water, So this is coming from someone who has actually been stupid enough to put one in water. Please don't again, you are lucky it didn't die from this.

  • You are really dumb cause the hamster will die.

  • I used to do this too w/my hammies in warm water. One of my hamsters got used to it, then another used to look at me funny like, "Why is my owner doing this to me" in which I told him I was sorry, and he forgave me letting me cuddle him. Then one of my other hammies started getting milky substance coming from his eyes making me realize they could easily get pneumonia from this. As a bystander watching this vid. makes me think there is something not right about doing this to them. : '' (

  • @powerofsonic cool story bro

  • @kittykitt78 then you must be a HORRIBLE owner to have had it escaped to the garage. face it. hamster hates you so much it wunts to run away, WHY DON'T YOU FUCK OFF. LISTEN TO ALL THE OTHER COMMENTS. WHOSE RIGHT?

  • @BunniieMenever said to force it to swim! No, there is exceptions where you HAVE to bathe it! If it had a chemical spill on it, you would have to bathe it! bathing it is not bad for it, if you dry them and keep them warm until they are COMPLETELY DRY! If bathing a hamster was bad, then veternarians would say not to even if it had a chemical spill on it. I have had to bathe my hamster! It escaped and got into my garage and got covered in gasoline! I am not encouraging animal abuse. FUCK OFF!

  • @kittykitt78 and uh. if its BAD FOR IT, and you are FORCING IT, that is the FUCKING DEFINITION of animal abuse. so.. whutcha doing there is encouraging animal abuse.

  • @kittykitt78 buy a hamster and throw it in the bathtub. lets see how far you'll go thinking it isn't animal abuse c:

  • asshole
