and our soldiers are in Afganistan atm, and one of our leading officers in an advisor to the US in Iraq. So for a small country we have alot more clout than you give us credit for. Not to mention we stand up to the US on nuclear ships (not that I actually approve of this) not allowing them in our water, so the tiny island in the south pacific has the balls to stand up to a super power. Our country does protects it's intrests, but it doesn't murder people on way.

I have no problem with protecting your interests but when protecting your interests results in the death of over 1million civilians it causes a ripple. And New Zealand has offered the world many things, for example the electric fence, splitting the atom, and first powered flight among other things.
