I think the engineer destroyed his sentry because he wanted revenge crits for the Frontier Justice. Just a guess, but ya know. :P

see the engineer killed the sentry cause he was on his destroy controller {the thing you use to destroy a build} and became alarmed when he saw you and hit 1 accidentally because he wanted to switch to his shotgun quickly but accidentally killed his sentry instead.

@PandeALT Oh, now I see what happened!

Impulse had his class set to change, and fell off the top of the building, so he automaticly switched classes when he died, and his shit blew up.

RIGHT as the sentry explodes, his suicide tab pops up in the kill history thing up in the top right.

I'm sure the real reason the sentry blew up is that that other engi wanted to blow up his dispenser, 'cause it was in the way of his sentry. But all hell can break loose with the misguided slip of a finger.

If you notice, the engineer the comes from the teleporter has a crit frontier justice--implying that was his sentry, not the Texas Ten-Gallon Engy. I think you actually destroyed a low health sentry, and he came back to see wtf was going on.

@PandeALT perhaps in a moment of panic the engineer switched to his destroy pda then after seeing what he had done hit 1 to switch to his shotgun. Don't be such a dick to people offering answers to your questions.

The sentry was destroyed because he was trying to remove his dispenser so you couldn't use it as cover.
