great soul music from the 60's, and well presented, as are the others too. thanks for posting.
Happened upon their music via Laura Nyro, then i realised that somehow we'd missed out on The Royalettes completely, fools that we are...

Great Hot Hits of Super Sixties.

@MikeDial Thank you for letting me know about Ms. Ross; I hope that she is doing well. It's too bad that this group didn't stay in the spotlight, but they were running against some tough competion in those days. I still love the song, It's Gonna Take A Miracle..a classic!!

@shorty1ification I saw Sheila Ross on September 10, 2011 at the Silver Spring Jazz Festival. She still has a beautiful voice; the audience burst out in applause after she sang only the first verse of "People".

Does anyone know what ever happened to these ladies? Are any or all of the Royalettes still living?

I often what Ms Ross would sound like when she's not singing in her head voice. For her really full voice would sound different from the songs she's been releasing in her high voice. Overall she sounds great and the Royalettes put out some great songs. Too bad they fell to the side because of poor management and push from teh company. The were a fantastic group.

A great track from a marvellous album.
They sound like Dionne Warwick when she sung stuff like "Don't make me over" They never had a hit here in the Uk, but their first album is now a collectors gem. I was given by someone years ago brand new, and I still have it!
A really classy group who had huge arrangements, and you actually sat and listened to these girls sing their hearts out.
As usual, talents who didn't get recognised so they fell by the wayside

Teddy Randazzo wrote AND produced apparently which defeintley explains the Little Anthony comparison.
Royalettes made some quality sides but seem to have fallen off the radar - thanks for everyone who's posted them

Love those ladies! IMO the ladies had class and were beautiful with voices to match.

This one reminds me of Little Anthony & The Imperials, same composer I believe. So many great voices on vintage 60's recordings/videos added to YT, that listeners never heard until forty years later. We are overwhelmed by store tape loops of MUZAC:Madonna, Elton, Joel, Divas-all a blank to ignore after 2 to 4 Decades in rotation. YT obscurities on store loops would be a welcome relief.
Only in a perfect world...
