Everything is trial and error. You may not be able to keep in protective styles like that and constantly wash/rinse/wet them because your hair seems like it can matt easily. If I were to wet my twists every other day or even every week for about a month and a half, they would probably be turning into baby locs. No fret, at least you still have most of your hair. Trial and error is all, just trial and error. It's not lack of caring, it's experimentation. =)

@moonsmoothie9 Thank you! Lack of care by a** I've had braids in my hair for months and nothing like this has every had. I tried a new method and it didn't work for me so yeah trial and error.

Not to be rude or anything, but what do you expect to happen when you don't comb your hair for a month??? It's not the products fault, it's your fault. The detangling conditioner is meant to simplify the task of detangling. It doesn't mean it detangles it for you...

@Tiffakasia That's the funny thing about the word but anything you say before it is false u ment to be rude. Also, some naturals detangle weekly, daily w/ or without tools there are different hair care methods and this 1 was a bust for me.

When your hair is really dry and not detangled, it will loc. Even relaxed hair does this because the water hitting extremely dry hair is like a shock and there is almost nothing you can do at that point.

@Tiffakasia I agree with you on that one! It's one thing if you're a new natural and you tried to do this (happened to me after I BC'd). But with the length she has, she should have known to detangle.

Omigosh, that same thing happened to me!!! Luckily I was at the African hair braider when I started shrieking "just cut it off!", which they would no tallow me to do. They ended up rewashing it, then pouring on a whole bottle of a 'cone conditioner, then combed out the tangles with the conditioner in. I never want to experience that again!!! I feel for you, girl!

If you don't detangle shedded hairs, it will cause the hair to lock together. I attempted to only detangle my hair with my fingers, but it was a mess, plus it took eternity to do versus doing it with a wide tooth comb.
