An obscure Turbo-Grafx sequel to an even more obscure Japanese acrade game. You could do worse in terms of pure side scrolling platforming action, but you could probably do better too. I like the game, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend that anyone else play it. But, since it was released on the Wii's Virtual Console, I thought people might want to know what it looks like and how it plays.
Sorry for the severe lag in parts of the video. I tried re-recording this several times, and nothing seemed to fix it, so, I may have to invest in Hypercam or something if this continues to happen with non-NES games.
This game actually had very interesting enemy AI patterns, especially with the latter bosses. When I was a kid, this was one of the first games to really stump me that way. I had to stop relying on pure reflexes/hand eye coordination and really try to analyze the patterns. The final bosses were actually deceptively simple once the patterns were understood but understanding the patterns was actually quite challenging, at least for me when I was a kid, unlike other games.
