We made this slideshow to make birthmothers seem more real in prep for the SC Adoption Conference. We then showed it at our Bmoms Day celebration and everyone loved it.

  • What song is this?

  • It's called "From God's Arms to My Arms to Yours" and is by Michael McLean.

  • who sings this song?

  • I'm not sure of the singer in this particular version but Michael McLean wrote the song. I have heard that Marie Osmond recorded a version of this song but I've never run across it.... The song is called "From God's arms, to my arms, to your arms."

  • it depends on what agency you went through. Its usually a verbal contract between the Adoptive Parents and the Birthmom. I placed in 2007 when I was 17, similar to you. I got to bond and live with the people and its a very open adoption...

You can try to contact the agency you went through and get information requested?

  • Thank you for your program! I know it has blessed the life of the birth mom of my beautiful daughter and your video is a beautiful tribute to all the wonderful birth moms out there who love their children so much! We have an open adoption and I couldn't be happier!

  • My son was taking at birth because of something I did before h was born. $ years before he was born CAS took him he was adopted out he would be three today I still cry everynight for him. It was not the right descission for him. His best interest is to be with his real mother and father who are currentley trying to find him. CAS is corrupt. I know not all adoptions are like this. I have other children and I want my other son who was adopted out in my other childrens life. :( crying my eyes out

  • Not all reunions are emotionally painful for the adoptee. But also, not all adotpions are open either....so the reunion can be terrifying and painful for the adoptive mother at the same time as it is wonderful for the child and the birth mother. I know from experience.

  • Anyone reuniting? Being adopted and then reunited. Reunion isn't worth all the emotional pain for an adoptee.

  • i just wanted to say that i was adopted and it was a closed asoption and i am currently searching for my birthmom and this made mecry when i wtched this... thanks
