@Fupper16 They actually do that to set up the Jiu-Claw, and not the actual Omoplata, so you are wrong.

Actually I like it when the guy rolls and sometimes I let them if they are too strong. When they roll just stay and don't move and they roll themselves into an arm bar.

it looks easy but you wont escape that way from me, i simply hold my oponent and change position

I'm pretty new to this sort of stuff.. but in the future, could you show the best (or what you think is the best) positions for hand placement to avoid reversals? For instance, in this video you showed how to get out of his different hand placements, but didn't tell what the best/most sound ones were (once again, I'm new, so I simply dont know)

From the preview screen for this vid I thought it was a white duck on a city ledge LOL.

@julianfolkBJJ Goto our main site Submissions 101 and type in "old school" into the search bar ;-)

You shouldn't triangle your legs in the omoplata ... it's much better to stick them straight out and pinch them together, like Eddie Bravo or Frank Mir does. It puts more pressure on the shoulder.

@Fupper16 Matt is a blue belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu as well. Some masters in BJJ triangle their legs, others do not, Jiu Jitsu has so many variations and ways to do things, that absolute statements like yours don't reflect every practitioner of the art. Open mind after all.

@Fupper16 Eddie is quoted saying it's okay to triangle the legs for an Omoplata with the Gi on. It okay to do this because one can use the sleeve as a grip.
