Another brilliant song from Mr Mctell, I'm sure a lot of us have a 'Mr Connaughton' I have, his name was Mr Rainbow, and among other things he had the first colour telly in our street in Portsmouth and he allowed all us kids in to watch the 1971 F.A. Cup final. I will never ever forget that, I was 12. Thank you Fred Rainbow.

  • One of the very best McTell songs. Just watched him introduce the Dubliners Lifetime Achievement Award at the Radio 2 folk awards - and yet again his warmth and humanity shone through, as it does so warmly here.
