MGS4 New Game Big Boss Emblem Speedrun: 1:39:03 Act 4: Part 2.

Opted to not use night-vision during the Crying Wolf battle to save time. You don't really need it either.

Casting Facility North: You can also shoot the explosive barrels at the end for a convenient distraction method. It's also equivalent to the time for the running headshot. You can see it here:-

Underground Base & Supply Tunnel: As long as you remain close to the railings you can bypass the Dwarf Gekko's scanning beam near the exit as shown. You can also shoot the wall & they'll switch their scanning regions which allows you to quickly run past. The M82A2 alerts attention far too easily here. The method shown is equivalent to a running Chaff throw.

Vamp: There are a few New Game methods known. If the 40mm Stuns located in the top-left corner (from starting position) were closer then they would contribute to probably the fastest New Game method via the MGL-140. The M82A2 is such a great gun though & although this method is not originally mine (it contains very minor tweaks) I can safely say it would of been one of the first I tested anyway. It's not far off the Clear Game speed of the Solar Gun takedown.

My target was to have a method that is equal to or better than a running Chaff throw in areas where a Chaff is usually used. Target achieved & Chaffs saved for later.

I'm pleased with the menu optimisation as only 1 menu use is required for the whole of Act 4.

For those that remember, I noted in a previous info section that I was unsure as to the reason why you can't purchase ammo for the XM25. It turns out that you need to have fully depleated the current ammo before you can buy any additional. Strange. This would lead to some wise usage so excess menu use can be prevented.
