  • i like my m1530, still going strong after 3 1/2 years, only thing wrong with it is the left click button on the mouse pad is loose and doesn't work too well but i use a bluetooth mouse so it doesnt bother me much, oh and the battery is shot and has to be plugged in at all times, but thats expected with any laptop after 3 1/2 years, the computer itself is still working fast and still does a great job surfing the internet and playing a few games, well worth the money :)

  • @lukefairs Mine is still going strong, the CD drive has failed but I didnt really use it and just removed it. You can buy a battery from AGPtek on amazon. It was about $40 and it works just as well as the original.

  • @podo63 take a look at all the complaints! Maybe it makes a difference what country the laptop is bought in - perhaps the components are manufactured in different countries, and are therefore of varying quality.

Do not tell me I do not know what I am talking about. I talk from first hand experience. Can you make the same claim?

  • @podo63 Why should this laptop NOT be replaced (even if it is a Dell) ? I still trust Dell desktop computers, but they should not have marketed the XPS M1530 as a gaming laptop when it is not fit for purpose. Have you owned this model? My son cannot afford to save up for another laptop, he should be entitled to one that works.

I have much experience with computers, owned many laptops and desktops, and believe I am in a position to make a complaint about Dells treatment of XPS M1530 owners.

  • @podo63 I capitalise Dell because I am constrained by good use of grammar. So I apologise for being educated.

Why would I not believe that you are a Dell minion, as you appear to be extolling their virtues? It was my son who bought this laptop for close on £700 GBP ($1100 USD) hard saved cash, and this laptop has never worked, so tell me what is so wrong about being completely fed up with the poor customer service, the refusal of Dell to admit they have inferior and non-functioning components?

  • @podo63 Ha nice reply but almost anyone says "sound like you work for Dell" ...and why would I be saying negative against dell like I said in the previous comment when I would "work for Dell" ?

Sounds like you have enough respect for dell to capitalize the D..and you are working to get Dell to recall yours and help you after you call their laptops trash.

I know alot about Dell, Lenovo, IBM, Sony, Acer, etc..I have owned almost every brand by all companies.

  • @psptechnologypsp Ha sounds like you work for Dell ergo you know squat

  • @podo63 hah Dell has made major changes to laptops so now that nothing goes wrong you sound like you don't know what you are talking about...plus 2YEARS AGO who cares you should've bought another laptop by now.

  • This Laptop is a total piece of sh1t! I bought this 3 years ago and since buying it it has overheated constantly, I have had 3 motherboards , 3 batteries, 2 power adaptors, and so many software issues it's untrue! Dell refuse to replace the unit. It went out of warranty so I bought another 2 years warranty for £90. I now have to call engineers again as after they replaced the 3rd motherboard the optical drive ceased working!

join this the facebook campaign to recall all xps m1530

  • howd you get that?
