@qu1kstu Sorry to be so vague, it has just been so long and I don't have the server setup for it any more. Also, check out this site which may help, oakdome.com/k5/tutorials/installing-youtube-clones/installing-youtube-clones-on-ubuntu.php make sure you have the packages installed as listed, there are a few more then listed in the tutorial.

@Kthelis It has been a while now, I sorted the initial problem but gave up on installing phpmotion myself because I couldn't get the .htaccess working properly and things like uploading just didn't work. Anyway, to help with getting the install correct, I found that the setup.php file needed the be altered so that the command for the second page is changed from whatever it was to ./"same command" or the reverse.

Great tutorial Issac,
However, I get a blank screen during the web based setup at page 2, I followed all your instructions precisely including the previous tutorial on setting up webmin, I downloaded the zip file as you did straight to the server and unzipped it there, I even tried unzipping it in the /var directory so that I could be sure that there was no issue with copying binary files but still no luck. Using Lucid Server.
I am obviously missing something, any ideas??

cool but would be better if you used ubuntu 8.10 instead without webmin
